PROCESS:
* I start with sterling silver sheet that I texture with a rivet hammer, and then using various specialty hammers, shape into a cone.
* I then use a torch to melt the edges of the slightly open cone to create an irregular crack.
* The crack is “buttoned up” with a few fine silver balls.
* The sterling silver is oxidized to a darker patina and wire brushed and buffed to a shine.
* The blue-green Howlite completes these statement earrings.
