These large hoop, steel and copper earrings have an ancient, antiquities appearance. Wear them if you are an old soul or want to appear wise.
PROCESS:
* I cut perforated steel sheet, plain sheet, and steel wire and cleaned them of all coatings and oils.
* I then fused the copper to the sheets and wire using a very hot torch.
* The pieces were assembled and soldered.
* I applied a brown patina, which was partially removed it on the exterior to reveal the texture of the copper.
* Finally, everything is carefully oiled, waxed and buffed.
