These shero, medieval inspired earrings are part of my badass jewelry collection. The 14k gold cross is highlighted by the deep black background. These are made of steel with white bronze fused as texture. Wear them when you’re feeling like a rock star.
PROCESS:
* I started with steel sheet & perforated steel sheet, cleaned them of all oils, cut the shapes, & ground down the rough edges.
* I then fused the white bronze and 14k gold to the sheet steel using a very hot torch.
* I soldered the flat boxes and chain.
* I blackened the earrings and then removed the patina to reveal the texture of the white bronze.
* I added the sterling silver studs.
* Finally, everything is carefully waxed and buffed.
