Ammonite, Sterling Silver, Fine Silver

We had quite a snowstorm here in Colorado, and the artificial flowers in my mailbox planter are weighted by snow, and poking through as it melts. The yellows, oranges and reds of autumn have transitioned into the whites, blues and [ever]greens of winter. Wear these earrings on your next full moon walk around the neighborhood.
PROCESS: I start by cutting a disc from Sterling Silver sheet. I cut the petals, and then use a small torch to ball up the ends. Flattening out the petals, I soldered in the bezel for the stone. Everything is blackened with patina, and some of it removed to highlight and give dimension to the piece. The stone is set and the petals arranged to be an interesting flower.
FEATURES: Amazonite was the stone used by Amazon warrior women to adorn their shields. Completely hand-made by me. Unique, one-of-a-kind jewelry.
